Franco Majok is featured in a new article in the Christian Science Monitor

Mr. Majok, who serves as executive director of the organization Village Help For South Sudan, escaped from southern Sudan when he was a teenaged high school graduate. Knowing which direction to go and how to get to the northern part of Sudan was the most valuable skill he could have had, he says.

We are delighted to report that Mou Riiny, University of San Diego student and Bol Thiik Riiny's cousin, has found a local builder to begin construction on Thiou Freedom School. read more ...

Mou Riiny graduated from University of San Diego just a few months ago. He traveled to South Sudan at the end of December, and he has been serving as our Field Manager for the construction of the Thiou Freedom School

Ron and I spent International Women's Day at a talk hosted by Dr. Thomas Burke of Mass. General Hospital Center for Global Health [1] featuring Dr. Lul Pout Riek, director general of Community and Public Health in the Republic of South Sudan's Ministry of Health, and the Honorable Dr. Yatta Lori Lugor, South Sudan's deputy Minister of Health.
